Founded in 1926, the Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College (GSMC) and the King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital are amongst the foremost teaching and medical care providing institutions in India. Course Offered :

UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMME MBBS                 Eligibility : MBBS : A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination. Physically handicapped candidate in General category must secure not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (PCB) taken together the at HSC (or equivalent) Examination. Admission criteria for candidates outside Maharashtra: Candidate have to take the All India Premedical entrance test conducted by the CBSE. This is usually held on the last Sunday of April of the Calendar year of the beginning the term of the medical dental college. The examination will have one paper consisting of Physics, Chemistry & Biology carrying a max. of 800 marks. Admission criteria for Maharashtra candidates : All admissions to the graduate courses in medicine and allied specialties in Maharashtra are administered centrally by the Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER). The Common Entrance test is called MHT CET. Hostel Facilities : College imparts Separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The hostel of the college is well kit out with necessary amenities.
