Vardhman Institute of Medical sciences, A Government Medical College, is situated in a serine and tranquil environment, Pawapuri, a place known far wide for its scenic beauty, abundance of Jain shrines, a holy place of pilgrimage for Jainism sect, the sanctum sanctorum “Jal Mandir” is located at approximate 100 KM south east from capital town  Patna, well linked by road and rail.VIMS is a state of Art Medical College & Hospital spreading at an sprawling area of 52.515 Acres of land . The first academic session of the college started in 2013-14 with admission of 95 students in 1st year MBBS course, the existing capacity is 100 students per year. Hostels : The College has  Girls Hostel, Boys Hostel, Doctors Hostel, Intern Hostel, Nurses Hostel all G + 5 type , a community block , Student recreation centre, a modern air conditioned Auditorium apart from Faculty and Non-teaching staff accommodation with lift facilities. The whole College building is centrally Air conditioned having canteen with greenery all around the campus. Library : Established at a separate floor,divided in different sections Each sections accommodate different sections of books of various subjects of medical sciences. Easy demarcation of year wise book had been done for easy searching. Self help and books available . Medical and para-medical journals and magazine provided . A librarian and supporting staff have already been admitted for the smooth running of library Every year a bulk of books are added to keep the students upgraded Quite and peaceful environment.

GRADUATE PROGRAMME MBBS Eligibility : Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pawapuri, Nalanda, Bihar undertakes the teaching and training of students for under-graduate course of MBBS. The medical college and the medical courses are recognized by Medical Council of India. Recreational facilities(outdoor and indoor) : Recreational activities holds an important and vital place for students extra curricular activities. Besides having a common indoor room in each hostel, vims offers a seprate indoor games hall.Games likes chess, table tennis,carom and badminton are being played here. There are 6 table tennis courts, two badminton courts in vims premises Plentiful of chess and carom games are also played subsided. Recreational halls are also being updated with modern sports equipments to insure the needs of students.It too have a collection of Large no. of T.T, badminton rackets, chess board, carom coins and shuttle cocks. VIMS also having an upper hand in outdoor games, A volleyball court had been made and are actively participated by the students. Besides volleyball students do play cricket, football. keeping in mind the spirit of game and to keep the good sporting activity to be continue flourishing in VIMS, college organize a sports meet every year. Not only sports activities but get together parties, celebrations are also held here.
