MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital was started in the year 2001 by Venkatesha Education Society located at Hoskote, Bangalore Rural District. Both UG & PG Programme are recognised by Medical Council of India & Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital provides holistic medical education par excellence, to ensure students mature as caring and courteous medical professionals, with excellent clinical skills and theoretical knowledge. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India and is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences for conducting the medical undergraduate programme leading to the award of MBBS degree.

UNDER GRADUATE PROGRAMMES MBBS POST GRADUATE PROGRAMMES MD in : Pathology General Medicine Psychiatry Dermatology  Paediatrics Anaesthesia Radiology      MS in : General surgery Orthopaedics Ophthalmology ENT   OBG   PG DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES DPM DCH D Ortho DGO DA DOMS Eligibility: MBBS :  A candidate seeking admission to first MBBS course: Shall have passed two year Pre University examination conducted by Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka State, with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional Subjects. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually also. OR Shall have passed any other examination conducted by Boards / Councils / Intermediate examination established by State Governments/ Central Government and recognized as equivalent to two year Pre University examination by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences / Association of Indian Universities (AIU), with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects and the candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually. OR Shall have passed Intermediate examination in Science of an India University/Board/Council or other recognized examining bodies with physics, Chemistry and Biology, which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as compulsory subject. The candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually. OR Shall have passed first year of the three year degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is an “University Examination” provided that the candidate shall have passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in the pre university or other examinations mentioned in the clauses above. OR Shall have passed B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc. examination with not less than two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) provided the candidate has passed subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually in the qualifying examinations mentioned in clauses (i) (ii) and (iii) Note: Candidates who have passed “Physical  Science” instead of Physics and Chemistry as two separate subjects are not eligible for admission to MBBS course as per Medical Council of India Regulations vide letter MCI-37 (2)/2001/Med.922 dated 14-02-2001 and RGUHS letter UA/ELY-115/1998-2000 dated 22-05-2001. Marks : The selection of students to medical colleges shall be based on merit provided that: a) In case of admission on the  basis of qualifying examination, a candidate for admission to MBBS course must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English and must have obtained not less than 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination.  In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Category I, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination is not less than 40% instead of 50% as above. b) In case of admission on the basis of competitive entrance examination, a candidate must have passed individually in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English and must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination and in addition must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of such competitive entrance examination by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the  competitive examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes or Category I, the marks obtained I Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together I qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination be not less than 40% instead 50% as stated above. (vide amendment to MCI Regulations, 1997, notified in Gazette of Government of India dated 29-05-1999). Age : The candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st day of December of the year of admission Number of seats(MBBS) : 150 Fees(MBBS) : 3,50,000/- Per Annum MD/MS Degree and Diploma Courses: A candidate affiliated to this institute and who has passed final year MBBS examination after pursing a study in a medical college recognized by the Medical Council of India, from a recognized Medical College affiliated to any other University recognized as equivalent thereto, and has completed one year compulsory rotating internship in a teaching Institution or other Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India, and has obtained permanent registration of any State Medical Council shall be eligible for admission. Obtaining Eligibility Certificate by the University before Making Admission : No candidate shall be admitted for any postgraduate degree/diploma course unless the candidate has obtained and produced the eligibility certificate issued by the University.  The candidate has to make an application to the University with the following documents along with the prescribed fee:  MBBS pass/degree certificate issued by the University. Marks cards of all the university examinations passed MBBS course. Attempt Certificate issued by the Principal. Certificate regarding the recognition of the medical college by the Medical Council of India. Completion of internship certificate. In case internship was done in a non-teaching hospital, a certificate from the Medical Council of India that the hospital has been recognized for internship. Registration by any State Medical Council and Proof of SC/ST or Category I, as the case may be. Candidates should obtain the Eligibility Certificate before the last date for admission as notified by the University. Hostel facilities are available in the college campus : Separate blocks for girls and boys are available with each block accommodating around 500 students. Additional rooms are being added to meet the increasing demand.
