 Introduction
Pt. B.D.Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak is situated at a distance of about 240 km from Chandigarh and about 70 km from Delhi on Delhi-Hissar-Sirsa-Fazilka National Highway (NH-10). It is the  only major Institution for Medical Education and Research and a tertiary care centre for provision of specialized health care services not only to the people of the State of Haryana, but also to those from  Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and western U.P.  The Institute was started under the name of Medical College, Rohtak in the year 1960.  For the first three years, the students were admitted to Medical College, Patiala which acted as a host Institution.  In 1963, the students were shifted to Rohtak.  In the subsequent years, multifaceted expansion measures have transformed the Institute into a fully developed center of Medical Education and research in all the major disciplines of Medicine.  In the year 1994, Medical College, Rohtak was renamed as Pt. B.D.Sharma, Medical College, Rohtak and subsequently it was upgraded to a Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in the year 1995. Today Pt. B.D.Sharma, PGIMS, Rohtak is a famous institution not only for medical education but also for the health care facilities both at the National as well as International level.

Mahadevappa Rampure (MR) Medical College

The Medical College was established in 1963. The preclinical section began in 1964 and the clinical section in 1966. The State Government built a 700 - bed hospital to offer clinical facilities to the students. The College was recognized by the Medical Counicl of India (MCI) in 1972 and was the second Private Medical College in the Country next to Manipal to get recognition. The graduates of the College are serving in different parts of the country and abroad. Vijaynagar Institute of Medical Sciences,Bellary, Karnatka

The campus of Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences is situated in the former Allipur Jail Buildings which has long history. The history reveals those great freedom fighters including Sri. Chakravarthi Rajgopalachary, Sri. V.V. Giri, Sri. Bejawada Gopala Reddy, Sri. Ghantasala Venkateshwara Rao, Sri. Tekur Subramanya etc.; were lodged in this jail. This jail was closed in 1958 and the old buildings and entire area of 173 acres (0.70 km2) was handed over by the Government to start the Medical College in Bellary in 1961. It has grown into prestigious institution over the last 42 years despite awful shortage of staff, lack of infrastructure and other facilities. To overcome the shortcomings the Medical College was made autonomous Institution “Vijayanagar Institute of Medical Sciences, Bellary” in 1996. The Medical College Hospital was commissioned in 1966 and has bed strength of 680 beds. The District Hospital is situated in the heart of city and is spread over an area of 15 acres (61,000 m2) and has bed strength of 210 for the pediatrics, Gyanecology and Post Mortem Cases. Recently 20 bedded Infosys ward was added for the treatment of Japanese Encephalitis cases. To bring all departments under one roof, for the purpose of better-coordinated teaching and better treatment to the patients even these two departments of Gynaecology and Paediatrics department will be shifted to VIMS campus before the end of this year to the newly constructed wards in the VIMS campus.

Government Wellesly TB & Chest Diseases Hospital was started in 1929 over spacious area of 20 acres (81,000 m2) and has a bed strength of 280 beds. The Urban Health Center in the heart of the City was constructed in 1999 and about 120 to 140 patients are treated as outpatients daily in this center.

Shri Vasantrao Naik Government Medical College Yavatmal (SVNGMC Yavatmal) is a college in the Banjara (tribal) populated region of the Vidarbha region of the Maharashtra state of India that provides medical education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is named after the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Late Shri. Vasantrao Naik. SVNGMC Yavatmal is in [Yavatmal] city which is a district place in the state of Maharashtra.

Introduction

Ambajogai is a taluka in Beed District of Marathwada Region in the State of Maharashtra. It is situated at a height of 2200 feet above sea level, with pleasant weather all round the year.

 

During the Nizam rule Ambajogai was a cavalary head quarters, but that was dissolved after independence from Hyderabad State. The area occupied by calavary remained vacant. To make the best use of this the Government of Hyderabad state started a small T.B. Sanitorium on the premises of the old cavalary building units. First Government Medical College in Marathwada Region was started at Aurangabad in 1956. Aurangabad happens to be at the extreme corner of Marathwada region and thus could not meet the requirements of this region. After years of public agitation the concept of a Rural Medical College at Ambajogai, which is a central place for Marathwada region was accepted by the Government of Maharashtra and was cleared by the Planning Commission in 1974

About Us:

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has the distinction of establishing the first University of Health Sciences fulfilling the recommendations of several committees. Thus the “Andhra Pradesh University of Health Sciences” was established by the Act. No. 6 of the Andhra Pradesh legislature and was inaugurated on 9-4-1986 by the late Sri N.T. Rama Rao, the then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The University of Health Sciences started functioning at Vijayawada from 01-11-1986. After the death of its founder Sri N.T. Rama Rao the University was named after him as NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh with effect from 2.2.98 vide Act No.4 of 1998. (MLT): Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry or Intermediate Vocational (Medical Lab Technology) or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Inter with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences and should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December, 2013 B.Sc., (Nursing) 4-Year Degree Course: The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December, 2013 of the year in which admission is sought. Minimum Education: 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) and English Core/ English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks 10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSCE/ HSCE or other equivalent Board 10+2 exam science conducted by national Institute of open School Students shall be medically fit. Age: Candidates born on or after 02nd January, 1997 are not eligible for admission into the above courses
