Doctors. Karnataka state should not lag behind in producing competent
and qualified doctors to fulfill local/global demand. In this scenario,
there is an ample opportunity in serving the society especially socially
and economically weaker sections of the people to provide free medical
facilities by a new multi-specialty Hospital and associated Medical
College in Mangalore Taluk of Dakshina Kannada District.

establishment of a Super-speciality Hospital with over 20 departments
and an associated world class Medical College with annual intake of 150
students for MBBS and mentor at least 20 research scholars every year
for deserving candidates was a dream of CA A Raghavendra Rao, President
of A Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore, and the Vice-President Mr Srinivas
Rao.

The land chosen is on the Udupi Mangalore Highway, and is ideally located to serve people from Mangalore and surrounding suburban districts. The location is easily accessible by public transport. The hospital is equipped with up-to-date medical technology and facilities to provide modern state of the art medical treatment to the poor and needy. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, and Approved by Medical Council Of India, New Delhi.

Seats
are allotted by merit selection which is based on Common Entrance Test
(KRLMP/CET) conducted, followed by Centralized Counseling. 15% of total
intake allotted under NRI / Foreigner category on Merit selection.
